Hey everyone! I passed my NCBTM. That means I'm a nationally board certified massage therapist. YAY! I studied soo soo much for the test, so it was quite exciting when I passed (I took it last wednesday at 8 am).
Were looking forward to seeing everyone at Christmas!

The patient!
Today was a big day. Luke got his two top wisdom teeth pulled. He just went to our dentist rather than going to an oral surgeon. They said he did a great job and that everything went well. Luke is in pain (and looks like a chipmunk) but luckily was prescribed some good drugs to help him deal with that. So I got him some ice cream (neopolitan and spumoni), some yogurt, and some gatorade and settled him in, even though hes not eating or drinking much at the moment. He deserves a few days off, too. He works so hard and lately he has been super husband around the house. I'll keep you posted if anything major happens, but it sounds like it should be an okay recovery.

Beef - It's what's for dinner

Okay so the picture is for the last blog. It's Mr. homecoming with the president of the university, Geoff Gambe. Onto the beef story.
So last Wednesday Tom is tooling up to Kalispell for the weekly paper run when he hit a black cow at 5:30 in the a.m. (What's the joke about it's darker than the inside of a cow with its mouth closed and tail shut?) Still waiting to hear but think the truck is totalled. You can't imagine how many people have come up and asked "Where's the beef?" Most of you know he is fine and the unfortunate bovine is at the food bank. Guess we'll be truck shopping this week. Looking forward to Thanksgiving at the Lake. Kels & Luke are going to his mom's but Scott is bringing his roommate.

The man who would be king
Alas, Mark was not made homecoming king but we all know he is royalty anyway. He looked really great in his blue vest and gold tie - very bobcatty. I'll see if I can figure out how to post a picture later. Of course with the snow and no hat he also looked like a blonde by the time the halftime presentation was over. We all about froze. Gotta love Montana. You will all be happy to know that even though he wasnt crowned king he did win a scholarship and more importantly the dance off at the Pi Kap alumni banquet. Tom and I and Scott and Kels and Luke went in to see him because he was DJing for the party and caught the contest. His big move was to slide between the other finalists legs when he wasn't expecting it. All that talent and I didnt have to pay for lessons (unless you count the emergency room fees after the breakdance club incident!)

Little Girls
Well I just got back from visiting those precious little girls in Billings. I will update you since the parents seem to be too busy. ;)
Miss Kennedy is just busy as ever and saying all kinds of words, her favorites being bebe (for baby), bye bye, dada, mommy, papa (for grandpa), more, all done, side (for outside), night night...that usually is preceded by bebe, and pete, especially if you say coco (for Courtnie) first. I did get her to say my name twice on the last day, but I was the only one to hear it, so I'm not sure anyone believes me. And she uses much enthusiasm saying "bless you" after someone sneezes...very cute!
Little Kaylen is sweet as can be and makes all kinds of little noises with her mouth. I took her in my room one night so mom & dad could get a good night sleep...I'm still recovering, ha ha!! I have once again pulled in to first place for favorite aunt, sorry Coco! (The trophy is nice and shiny on my mantle)!
Now for my family. You may have heard that Jeff ruptured his Achilles Tendon playing tennis with Pete the other weekend. So he is off for surgery on Thursday- no fun! Kendall and Alec are back to school and liking their new school. Kendall is in swim and Alec is still doing basketball along with skateboarding any chance he can get. Cooper is growing like a weed and keeping us entertained. He starts obedience classes (again) in a couple weeks. I start my yoga teacher training on Oct 11th, but it will still be awhile to get a studio up & going.
Here are some pictures. Enjoy!

Welcome to the Hotel California!
Hey there family! Just a quick note to tell you that Luke and I are jet setting off to Chicago to see the EAGLES LIVE tonight. WITH my parents! woo hoo! This was a suprise trip for my dad and they were supposed to meet up with Cheffy and Lori but Cheffy is in the hospital so dad called yesterday at 4:30 and said they have two tickets and if we can get to Chicago we can go with them to the concert. Then Mom called and said she has enough miles to fly us and here were are, in Seattle, a mere 16 hours later. Aren't you all jealous?

A for the Day!
Im glad to see that people are actually blogging. Mandi wins the gold star for the week, especially with the picture of Jesus. Its nice to know what his real name is, because every time I asked, nobody could remember it.
Things are good in Frazierville - staying busy! I was in Billings this weekend and spent most of yesterday sleeping to recover. Luke is busy with school and work but is still managing to ace his class.
Were excited to see the crew for the MSU football games and homecoming. And super excited to see the new VW. We did find it hidden in the ledger last week.
Scott stopped by on Saturday and let me ride his scooter around the street. yikes! It was fun but took me a minute to get used to the operation. Im glad he wears a helmet, even though 11 mph isn't very fast. Next time I see him I'll take a video with my phone and post it.

My picture for the week: me and mom after we got ready to ride the hottie train for the wedding.
And I resent Deb's invitation.

Deb
Hi Blog Chief...can you please verify Deb's e-mail address is correct and invite her to join the blog again. She hasn't received any of the invitations and I tried to sign her up with the blog but it isn't working.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I'm BLOG-GIN'
First, I do have to say that the blogging "chief" is kind of a hard ass. Not only do I have weekly requirements for school, but now I do for blogging as well (never saw that coming).
Anyway...here is my update (sorry it's not as exciting as new grandkids or homecoming plans):
I just enjoyed a fun night with Deb and Enda in Butte! We had a great dinner at Lydia's (preluded by cocktail hour at Enda's). We laughed a ton...especially about an old picture of Maureen in an outfit that probably fit Cherie and Bina about 5 years before Maureen was forced to wear it...it was cute, but clearly not inteded for the wear-ee. =) Then we tried on old hats...looking for costumes for the Roarin' 20's party and had many laughs (I call the brown tall square one...sorry). Unfortunately, no matching gloves were to be found. We also uncovered a letter from "Bill" in the cedar chest, which Enda was quick to discount (wonder what that was about). Will spend tomorrow in Butte again, catching up with my Gramma Helen at the nursing home and running errands with Gramma Enda.
I'm sure you'll all love this...I'm off to Missoula Saturday morning for the Grizzlie homecoming game (oh, and I guess I'll also see my brother). I do enjoy a good "Griz" tail-gate party though!
All is well in Boise. "Jesus" and I just spent a weekend in Seattle and enjoyed beautiful weather, fabulous dining, and great shopping. We had a fun summer together, exploring the Boise fly fishing scene, traveling back and forth to Bend, OR where he opened another restaurant, and enjoyed a fun weekend up at the lake. We camped for a weekend at the Gorge and took in a Dave Matthew's concert, which was incredible. The camping for 2 days I could definitely do without, but it was fun none the less. I started my final year of graduate school about 3 weeks ago and my professors seem baffled that I am taking 9 credits this semester and working full time...my hope is that they'll go easy on me but I think I'm in over my head. Next semester will be 6 credits and then I'm finished. Still not sure what I will do with it, but at least I can scratch it off my "Bucket" list. =)
Looking forward to a fun Christmas season in MT...which I hope will include the whole clan. It's been a while (Kelsie & Luke's wedding) since we've all been together!
Until next week....;)
Cheers!
PS...good luck with Homecoming "Funky Bunch"...sorry I'm of no help...didn't really get the creative gene in the family!

Beetle mania
We bought a "70 VW Beetle 2 weeks ago. White, very cute, I like the horn the best. Tom is very excited and had to take a picture of the local credit union for an ad and postcard they were sending out so he parks the VW in the drive in at the Credit union and then takes the pic.
Had a great time watching the Bobcats play Minnesota. They did all right. We had nosebleed seats but had a good time. found an old pi phi I hadn't seen in 30 years so that was fun. Also saw some of tom's family.

Raising the Stakes
So, the whole idea behind a blog is that its an online diary. So technically, it only works if people actually write on it. I know you all have exciting lives. I know you have family news. I know you take pictures. (Ahem, McGowan Clan - your new little K & Cooper) But we wont know about it if we dont post stuff!!!!! Maybe we could all try to post once a week. Or twice a month. We haven't heard much about Kaylen, or Erlans new school year, or how Mark is running for MSU homecoming, or Tom E's new car, or the trip to Minnesota, etc etc etc. And maybe we could all try to add one picture a month. At least. If you need a tutorial, call me.
love you all!
love you all!

Hey ya all
Nice work Kelsie & Luke thanks for getting us together.
Read your comments Kelsie and there is a lot of research out there on the value of the omega oils and fish oil as a good source one reporter thought it should be added to our water like floride is. Have also been reading about vitamin D and it is believed that if you live north of Atlanta you do not get any vitiman D from sun from Sept to May so supplements are important and it is believed that the FDA requirements and what MD's consider ok is way below what it should be. With our family history of auto immune diseases everyone of us should be adding these supplements to daily intake. So that is my health spot for the clan
Now.........Hi everyone. Did I mention that I have a new granddaughter Kaylen and a new grandson Cooper. Casey and Molly are so proud! Just spent 6 days with Kennedy and Kaylen bigK and littleK (courtnies terms of endearment and I will refer to them as Kk) what a treat they are adorable and so much fun. Casey, Steff, Court and Pete are ok too. Plan trip to see Molly and Jeff, Kendall and Alex and to meet Cooper soon. Still cannot believe Molly is so gaga over her dog he must be something.
Had great visit to MT. Did see all siblings, mom and my children but missed nieces and nephews. Look forward to our gathering to celebrate moms 90th.
My new job is keeping me very busy, learning curve is not curvy at all but sharp. But a bottle of wine a day keeps me going :). I am living in the midst of California wine country you know.
All for now. Looking forward to all the blogs from you bloggers out there. And Bina I guess I am the second most technical sister.

Doctor Appointment
Hey all! I had a lupus doctor appointment yesterday and it went well. If I can get my fish oil consumption up to 3000+ mg/day then I can possibly get off the prednisone. YAY! She said it will take like 8 weeks for the extra fish oil to take effect though. I won't have to go back for another 6 months. And my vitamin D levels and bone density scans were great.
And I made a pie. From scratch. From rhubarb in Ralphie & Lynnie's garden. I'll have to post a picture for proof.

I would like to take the oportunity
I would like to take the opportunity to post all of my baby pictures for you to look at, but I'm afraid it would take up too much space so I'll save it for the next get together. Speaking of get togethers make sure you are all saving the date in March for the Roaring 20's . I know Deb's already working on her grand canyon outfit
Butte, we have a Blog!
Here it is, the Bowman Family Blog! More to come from those crazy sisters and their completely normal families. Just Kidding!
